Boston Properties’ Reston Town Center Chooses Park Assist’s Innovative M4 Smart-Sensor System for Enhanced Parking Experience
NEW YORK, NEW YORK – August 11, 2016 – Park Assist is installing their M4 camera based, smart-sensor parking guidance system at Reston Town Center this summer to help manage over 9,000 spaces in 7 parking garages. Reston Town Center, located in Reston, Virginia, is a world-class, award-winning community of more than 50 shops, 30 restaurants, an 11-screen cinema, family parks, open-air pavilion, luxury residences and a four-diamond Hyatt Regency hotel. The property is owned and managed by Boston Properties.
With the installation of the M4 smart-sensor system, Reston Town Center patrons will enjoy an effortless parking experience. A sophisticated guidance system quickly directs parkers to available spots, and Park Assist’s Find Your Car™ feature gives them the ability to easily find their vehicles using kiosks or with the ParkRTC app. Park Assist is integrating with Passport, the mobile payment parking provider, so patrons can pay for parking from the comfort and safety of their own vehicles.
Boston Properties Senior Vice President – Property Management Laura McNulty said, “Park Assist is a great fit for Reston Town Center’s vision to improve the overall parking experience for our customers. We’re looking forward to implementing this cutting-edge system throughout all seven of our parking garages as part of our commitment to make Reston Town Center an even better place to live, work, shop and play.”
“Our technology will give Reston Town Center an edge in customer service, while simultaneously empowering operations and improving security throughout this premier community. We’re excited to work with Boston Properties on this project and, in the process, to reset customer expectations for a great parking experience,” said Gary Neff, CEO of Park Assist.
The new technology will be available to Reston Town Center patrons beginning September 12. For additional information on parking at Reston Town Center, visit www.ParkRTC.com. For additional information on the M4 smart-sensor system, visit www.parkassist.com.
